What it measures

The PNOE analyzer reads the gases in your breath to work out how your body burns energy. From a short, relaxed breathing test it measures your resting metabolic rate (how many calories you burn at rest) and gives insight into metabolic health, how your body uses fat and carbohydrate, and an estimated biological age.

How the test works

You wear a light mask over your nose and mouth and breathe normally while sitting quietly. There are no needles and nothing to swallow. We may ask you to arrive fasted and to skip caffeine and hard exercise beforehand so the reading reflects your true resting state.

Why it helps your plan

Generic calorie formulas can be off by hundreds of calories a day. Measuring your own metabolism lets us build nutrition, fitness and weight-loss plans around your body rather than an average.
