Hyperbaric oxygen chamber (HBOT)

Our in-office chamber delivers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, where you breathe oxygen at higher-than-normal pressure.

What it is

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) takes place inside a pressurized chamber. While you rest, the air pressure is raised above normal and you breathe concentrated oxygen, so your lungs can take in more oxygen than they would at normal pressure. That extra oxygen is carried through the bloodstream to tissues throughout the body.

What a session is like

You lie down in the chamber and relax. You may feel fullness in your ears as the pressure changes, much like on a plane, and our team will show you how to clear them. Ask our team what you can bring and how to stay in touch with staff during a session.

Who it may help

Patients ask about HBOT for recovery, wellness and other goals. It is not right for everyone: certain lung, ear and sinus conditions, and some medications, can make it unsafe. Before your first session, your provider reviews your health history and decides whether HBOT is a good fit and how many sessions make sense.

Getting started

Ask our team about HBOT at your next visit, or request a consultation to talk it through with your provider.
