H. pylori / SIBO breath test analyzer
H. pylori / SIBO breath test analyzer
Analyzes breath samples to check for H. pylori infection and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
What it tests for
This analyzer reads breath samples to help check for two common causes of digestive symptoms: H. pylori, a stomach infection linked to ulcers and gastritis, and SIBO, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, which can cause bloating, gas and changes in bowel habits.
How the test works
You breathe into collection bags or tubes before and after drinking a test solution. The analyzer then measures specific gases in your breath. The test is non-invasive, and you will receive preparation instructions in advance, which may include fasting and pausing certain medications.
Why it helps
Breath testing gives your provider useful information without an invasive procedure. Results help guide treatment and can be repeated afterward to confirm whether treatment worked.
