Allergy skin-prick test system

Tests for common allergens with tiny skin pricks on the skin's surface.

Finding your triggers

Skin-prick testing checks how your body reacts to common allergens, such as pollens, dust mites, molds, pet dander and certain foods. Knowing your triggers helps you avoid them and guides treatment.

How the test works

Tiny drops of allergen are placed on the skin, on the forearm or back, and the surface is lightly pricked. After a short wait, the areas are checked for small raised bumps that show a reaction.

Before your test

Some medications, especially antihistamines, can affect results, so we will tell you which to pause before your appointment. Ask our team when and how your results will be reviewed with you.

Ask about allergy testing

If you have seasonal symptoms, ongoing congestion, itchy eyes or skin reactions, ask our team whether allergy testing is right for you.
